Top 5 House Party Speakers

With the current lockdown in place, we are all looking forward to Summer where everything should hopefully be more back to normal.  If you are looking for a sound system for your house party during lockdown or in preparation for a small or large family gathering later in the year, this guide will help you prepare.  So, let’s take you through our top 5 house party speakers.

Depending on the size of your party will determine how loud you need your speakers to be.  If you are having a small gathering, you may only need a compact speaker.

If you are a regular house party thrower, now could be in the time to invest in a sound system that will cater to large and small gatherings.

I personally have three setups for a house party:

  1. A small portable sound system (50 watts) that has its own carry case that comes out if our daughter has friends over and wants to play some music.
  2. A mid-size sound system (150 watts) that sits permanently in the living room so the whole family are ready to party whenever we feel like it.
  3. A larger sound system (1000 watts) comes out usually in the Summer when we have friends over in the garden.  This is not a favourite of our neighbours, but given that we don’t play it at full peak every weekend, I think they have become quite used to it.

Having had A LOT of experience with sound systems over the past 30 or so years, I’ve compiled this guide to help you choose what system is best for you.

Here’s our top 5:
