Heat Pump Tumble Dryer (view a range here)
A heat pump tumble dryer is the most eco-friendly tumble dryer on the market as it generally comes with an A+++ rating. This means that it uses a lot less energy than the other two types to dry clothes. You can place it anywhere in the house or flat as it does not require a hose or need to be placed in a well-ventilated room as this type of appliance does not create hot air or moisture externally.
This type of tumble dryer will save you money on electricity bills as it uses hot air to remove moisture from the items which then evaporates into the appliances tank. These type of appliances are initially more expensive, but over time, savings will be made on your energy bills.

A condenser Tumble Dryer is a little less expensive than the heat pump tumble dryer and generally has a B rating. Savings can still be made on your energy usage when using this type of tumble dryer. It does not require an external hose connection as it has a drawer that collects the water from each cycle. The only thing you need to do is empty the drawer after each cycle.
The unit must be installed in a well-ventilated area but is extremely versatile as it can be placed anywhere in the house.

The most competitively priced tumble dryer of the three main types, however, it is the least energy efficient. These are typically given a C rating. The appliance comes with a hose that one end would need to be connected to the back of the appliance and the other either through an open window or air vent.
Again, this type of tumble dryer is much more efficient if you select an 8-9kg drum size. Fabrics tend to dry much faster in larger drum appliances.
