Top 5 Condenser Tumble Dryers

If you are buying your first tumble dryer, there are three types of tumble dryers on the market to suit your needs and your property.  For a range of different types from AO.com, click here.

When drying clothes indoors during the winter months, some properties can see damp growing on walls and areas where wet clothes are hung inside to dry. This could happen if the property is not ventilated properly whilst clothes are drying (ie windows being left open).  However, who wants to keep windows open all day when drying clothes when it’s cold outside?  If you are renting a property from a landlord, you would need to keep on top of any damp situation by continually cleaning it so it can actually be a good investment time-wise.

We have always used condenser dryers so that we don’t have to leave windows open whilst drying clothes inside during the winter.  With a condenser tumble dryer, you can quickly empty the water drawer into the sink and clean the filter after each use and get on with family life without too much inconvenience.

On principle, some families do not like to use tumble dryers because they can use a lot of energy (depending on the rating of the appliance).  However, during the winter, drying clothes inside can take days instead of minutes.

Tumble Dryer Energy Ratings

Tumble dryers are given ratings from A+++ down to C.  These tell you how efficient the model is, with A+++ appliances using less energy than others and doing more to help the environment.
